Which is the best for online banking ?

Postby Sally on Fri Jan 21, 2005 12:27 pm

I'm looking at opening my first online bank account, which one would someone recommend and if possible why ?

Thanks in advance

I use Halifax, all in one, websaver for the high interest rate, current account for banking, and sharedealing for yes, you guessed it sharedealing.

There are also the credit card, and the monthly saver .....

Easy all in one portal.

I recommend First Direct for SO many reasons, not limited to the high interest rate on their savings and current accounts,

I started selling Tupperware and needed to open an account as well.I chose Wachovia because they offer FREE accounts.I do all of my banking online.I would select a bank which is easy to get to locally as well. If you EVER have any problems, the best way to resolve them is inside and in front of a Bank Manager.I've had a person's check bounce and asked the bank to reverse the charges. They gladly did it!

HSBC is most preferable because it is huge, transparent, has good customer service, very flexible, has a good online banking system and provides good service to customers.
