A friend of mine sent $400 to my RBS bank account from the US using a Direct Bank deposit method, when converted this was £242.42. This money was sent on Wednesday evening . I still do not have the money in my account , so i was just wondering when i could expect it , how long do these kind of transfers usually take ? Also , is it possible for the money to go in over the weekend? or just weekdays ? (Mon-Fri)

Allow upto 5 clear working days (weekends do not count), the bank clearing system in the UK is much slower than in the US.

So Wednessday evening implies clearance by the latest next Thursday.
